Ascension Mixed Martial Arts Junior Champions (aka Mat Rats) program is an innovative children's martial arts program that was specifically designed to challenge and develop the skills of children through pre-teen. This program targets the characteristics needed to help them develop physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Your child will build dynamic martial arts capabilities while gaining courage and confidence, and learning how to think smarter and harder with children their same age. It is the best formula for success!
Here's how the Junior Champions Program works:
The AMMA Junior program is split into beginners and advanced. All students are encouraged to compete. AMMA believes that practice and competetion produces strong athletes and confident young adults. As your child progresses through the curriculum they will advance in the Belt ranking system and will skip the white belt rank once they reach the adult class (typically age 15).
Why enroll my child at AMMA?
At Ascension Mixed Martial Arts we are serious about your child's success. It's about building your child's self-esteem while they learn crucial life skills like confidence, team work, respect, and self-discipline! Come see why we are parents' number one choice for their kids!
Martial Arts are great for Children
A psychological study found that children who study martial arts have an increased sense of responsibility, a decrease in the willingness to take foolish risks, and a higher sense of self-esteem. This is why millions of parents are using martial arts to supplement their children's education. Individual sports force young athletes to face their weaknesses and work through them to make them better people in the long run.
What is the Best Martial Art for my Child?
Let us help you decide without having to decide. The AMMA Junior Champion curriculum blends Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (ground fighting defense), Judo and Wrestling (takedowns and takedown defense), and Muay Thai (authentic kickboxing/conditioning) to broaden the student's all around skill and to add depth to the child enrichment process. Our staff helps our students build self-esteem, prevent bullying, enhance their fitness level, and improve their overall achievement. |
